Are women being told there's only one trouser version they can wear? For those who think "it has to be ethnically associated" there's still the Balkan "fustanella," many versions of which have been called petticoats or tutus. Kilts are bordering on passe; other styles need representation.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33282620.post-91247001097516970842009-01-08T21:50:00.000-05:002009-01-08T21:50:00.000-05:00@ Erin - Mark is so ahead of his time, isn't he, w...@ Erin - Mark is so ahead of his time, isn't he, whether he admits it out loud or not...

@ Mary - I guess I was making assumptions as to the proper wearing of a UTILIKILT based on the photos on the website. Those guys look butch, whereas Cam looks like he's about to attend a semi-formal dance... with a dude. And those sporrans are kind of neat, but I don't think my town is ready for those, either ;-)...

@ Spark - I don't carry a backpack because I'm not 15 years old and late for study hall!! But having said that - I agree with you. I have no inclination to carry an actual purse, which is why I carry a simple messenger bag. It's a compromise, really.Ryan D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12997138389917143736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33282620.post-14937498425120438222009-01-08T12:22:00.000-05:002009-01-08T12:22:00.000-05:00Call me unimaginative, but I'm in the less-is-more...Call me unimaginative, but I'm in the less-is-more camp when it comes to stuff to carry around, and have never seen why a man purse would be any better than, say, a backpack.

By the way ...

This is just a quick note mentioning that SpartanburgSpark.com is asking local bloggers about how and why they got started posting their thoughts online. I want to know where he got such long argyle stockings for a guy. It's hard enough to find knee-highs and long stockings for women.

As for the murse, I think all guys should start carrying them. They have just as much stuff to hang onto as women do. Hubby found a sporran on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sporran

Maybe if murses were called sporrans, they'd be more accepted by society.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33282620.post-43853595819997173062009-01-01T18:14:00.000-05:002009-01-01T18:14:00.000-05:00haha!
